Mr. Harry Ranney
February 25, 1992
Page 2
3. As specified in Peabody's January 27, 1992
temporary cessation request for Nucla Mine, seeding
is the only reclamation activity remaining for
Mining Area 1. Final contours have been achieved
and no additional disturbance is anticipated.
Peabody will report reclamation progress from
January 1, 1991 to January 23, 1992 in the 1992
Annual Reclamation Report. The division will
receive up-to-date topographic, grading, and
topsoiling information nine months earlier than
having it included with the 1992 Annual Reclamation
Report (March 15, 1993 submittal date).
4. Revegetation monitoring data for the 1991 field
season is stored on floppy disc and must be entered
into Peabody's database. The database and computer
system used to analyze and report the vegetation
data has been modified recently and is not yet 100
percent functional.
Please contact me if you have any questions
pertaining to this request.
Sincerely,
Gary W. Wendt
Supervisor, Permits
swl
