CMVED
INIENI TO CONTINUE MINING OPERATIONS f'iAY - 1980
C-JD-7 UNDERGRDUND ME
FILE #77-308 p` , 0 RECLAMATION
Cu: _ a; a'at„rah Resources
Due to the small area involved and the underground nature of the mane,
constant use of the disturbed area is necessary, and final, reclamation cannot
begin until all mining activity has ceased.
The reclamation that can be performed during mining activity is minimal
and consists of seeding the areas disturbed around ventholes for stabilization.
One venthole, the eastern location on the permit application Trap Exhibit
C-2, has been installed. The disturbed area was graded and reseeded in December,
1979. The following seed mixture was used.
Seed Mixture #13, 1979
Species Lbs./Acre
Crested wheatgrass 4
Western wheatgrass 4
Fourwing saltbush 2
Indian ricegrass 1
Yellow sweetclover 1
Some road changes are being made on the JD-7 Lease Block but these
changes are caused by the JD-7 Open Pit operation and will be reported in that
annual report.
No new ventholes are planned for the next year. A second pond of less
than a half acre in size is being considered as an addition to the water
treatment system to continue discharge monitoring compliance.
Karen E.
