New Elk Mine <br />Threat to Human Life or Property: <br />None observed. Location and placement minimize potential impacis to life or property. <br />Potential Harm to Land, Air, and Water Resources: <br />None observed. Location of the waste bank minimizes potential impacts to land and water resources. <br />Maintenance Required: <br />Rainfall and run-off during April has caused some shifting of riprap in the armoured downdrains. <br />This will require some maintenance to the down drains. This work along with resloping of the <br />RDA active surface area is scheduled for October, 2004. <br />Supporting Documentation: (Compaction tests, surveys, photographs, field measurernenis). <br />Area had just received 2-3" of snow the previous night and many areas were snow covered. See photos <br />attached.
