<br />IV. Dale Trim Pit (Permit No. 83-3) <br />A. Reclamation plan: The county originally submitted a Reclamation <br />Plan providing that after mining is complete, land will be shaped so that <br />no slopes steeper than 6:1 will exist. Topsoil that is stockpiled and the <br />gravel containing soil will be spread over the area mined to a depth of 8" <br />to 10". Soil will be worked down to an adequate seed bed and drilled to a <br />sorghum crop cover in late spring, followed by drilling a grass mixture in <br />the late fall or early in the next spring. The mixture is to contain the <br />following cover: <br />Switchgrass <br />Sideoats grams <br />Little bluestem <br />Blue grams <br />1.2511 ple/ac. <br />2.2511 pls/ac. <br />1.7511 pls/ac. <br />.7511 pls/ac. <br />Fertilizer will be applied at the rate of 40 lbs/ac. Cover crop <br />forage sorghum will be seeded at the rate of 811 pls/ac. <br />To date, the county has sloped the sides of the pit and has kept the <br />area levelled. There are no stockpiles of topsoil at this Location as no <br />topsoil was removed. The gravel pit is located in a dry stream channel. <br />Minimal reclamation to date. Gravel pit active. <br />All reclamation proposed or undertaken per recommendations of local <br />Soil Conservation Service. <br />B.
