Y ' • •
IX. Cecil II Gravel Pit (Permit No. M-86-124)
A. Reclamation plan: The county originally proposed that at the
conclusion of mining, the site would be smoothed out and all deposits of
sand and gravel would be levelled. Any available overburden would be
replaced to slopes not steeper than 8:1. The gravel pit is located in an
area heavily concentrated with sand and gravel, and it is naturally
reclaimed during periods of run-off or heavy rains.
To date, the county has removed very little sand and gravel and there
has been no reclamation necessary. Avery small stockpile of topsoil has
been established. Gravel pit actlve.
All reclamation proposed or undertaken per recommendations of local
soil conservation service.
B. Attached hereto is a map delineating the gravel pit, prepared by
Ron Sidebottom, a draftsman, from Anton, Colorado.
