<br />VII. Lloyd Cecil Pit (Permit No. 83-1) <br />A. Reclamation plan: Following mining, the county has proposed <br />originally to back slope the area not steeper than 5:1. The topsoil will <br />then be replaced, compacted and seeded to a cover crop of forage sorghum at <br />the rate of 81i pls/ac. The following spring from termination of the pit, <br />the land will be re-seeded with the following mixture: <br />Little bluestem <br />Sideoats grama <br />Switchgrass <br />Blue grama <br />1.7511 ple/ac. <br />2.25U pls/ac. <br />1.25-i pls/ac. <br />.25U pls/ac. <br />Fertilizer will be applied at the rate of 40 lbs/acre at seeding of <br />cover crop. <br />To date, the county has sloped the gravel pit and has kept it <br />basically level. The stockpile of topsoil has been seeded annually for <br />erosion control. The reclamation on a permanent basis has been minimal. <br />Gravel pit remains active. <br />All reclamation proposed or undertaken per reco®nendations of local <br />Soil Conservation Service. <br />B.
