Sample Delivery Group Narrative Date: June 14, 1993 Customer: Battle Mountain Gold Project: San Luis Core Laboratories Project Number: 930821 On May 18, 1993, Core Laboratories received 10 water sa~gples for metal and general inorganic analysis. The following in8ormation is pertinent to the interpretation of this data package. After a thorough review of the raw data for job 930821, it was noticed that the WAD-CN result for samples 930514 BMG (06-09) exceeded the T-CN result. Except for 930514 BMG 07 WAD~CN, all the samples were reanalyzed for WAD-CN and T-CN and reported under Core ID 930739 11-14. Sample 930514 BMG 07 was originally analyzed, spiked and duplicated for WAD-CN on May 19, 1993. The duplicate value is reported as the reanalysis value under Core ID 930821-12. All Reanalysis was performed past the EPA recommended holding time of 14 ~s-__.- - - -- ----- - A method spike was not reported for WAD-CN analyzed on Mlay 21, 1993. A method spike was analyzed but resulted in a low recovery. Due to limited sample volume, the sample could not be respiked 'at a later date. However, a sample from this batch was spiked on May 24, 1993, and met quality assurance requirements (80~ recovery). The reason for the poor spike recovery is under investigation. Patrick J.
