Mathews
Division of Minerals and Geology
2148 Broadway, #CS
Grand Junction, CO 81503
Re: Full Suite Analysis
Permit No. C-81-034
Dear Mr. Mathews:
~-'~1
,~~y(~g
~m 6 GS
III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
df~'N
-~ ~ /
W q S ~ G~a~
~~ i ~ ~ ~ '~~ ~~ /e ~.9~~`~
Water samples were collected from wells A-1, A-2, E-1 and R-3 and delivered to Grand ]unction labs
for analysis on June 29, 1998. Enclosed are the results of those analysis. Spread sheets are provided
for wells A-l, E-1 and R-3 to compare baseline data with the current results. The baseline minimums
and maximums are compared to the current results. Apparently no full suite baseline analysis were
performed for well A-2. _ _ __ _ - -~~
,~ ~~
The quality of water in well E-1 is "better" than the baseline data. The concentration of toial~
dissolved solids, bicarbonate, carbonate and sodium are all significantly lower than the minimum
comparable values from the baseline data. This may indicate well E-1 contains a mixture of water ) J
from the alluvium and the E-1 coal seam. This data may also explain why the water level in well E-1 /
is higher than expected.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
J. E.
