Deft. of i~'3tural Reso~~rces
The Anniversary Date for the Greeley Pit is October 18, 1978. We
have not located any files to indicate that Annual Reports for
1979 and 1980 were submitted. This report will cover both those
years. A check for $700 to cover the fees for 1979 and 1980 is
enclosed. The 1981 Annual Report will be filed in a timely manner.
We will deal specifically, by number, with each of the Annual Report
questions as outlined in Section 2.41 of the Rules and Regulations.
2.41 (1) In Phases 1 and 2, 59.951 acres (the total area) was
stripped and partially mined. Approximately 15.921 acres
in Stages 3 and 5 are affected by the processing plant.
Some of the overburden from Stage 3 was used to created
approximately 2,100 feet of berm that was necessary to
keep the Cache La Poudre out of the mining area when
Weld County channelized the river along our north
property line. In addition, approximately 4.561 acres
was stripped in Stage 4 under emergency conditions to
create approximately 700 feet of berm along the north
bend in the river where unusual erosive action occurred
as a result of channelization. Soil from the stripped
area is stockpiled along the west side of Phases 1 and 2.
(2) No reclamation was called for at this time. However, an
area along the east side was resoiled and planted with a
cover of oats (see map enclosed).
(3) None required.
(4) thru (6) Not applicable.
(7) Extraction will continue in Phases 1 and 2 according to
the plan outlined in the Technical Revision submitted
and accepted in October 1979.
OO . ~ -
;.
- k
1100 RIVERSIDE - FT.COLLINS,CO80521 - 303-484-0995 • • B.>:
"ECOHOM Y'~(,~ Ready Mixed Concrete - Masonry Building Supplies ••sEavicE••
