The levation difference column represents the difference in the monument's elevation from the original survey to the current survey. This will give the amount of movement the monument appears to have had up to this time. The "difference between monuments" column was added to show the relative difference between adjacent monuments. During the course of the surveys, there has been apparent elevation changes on points which could not have been affected by subsidence. In order to help differentiate survey errors from subsidence, this column was added. If there is an apparent elevation change in the monuments during a given survey yet the difference between the adjacent monuments hasn't changed, a numerical survey error may have occurred. The difference in this value over subsequent surveys indicates the closeness of the surveys. I am attempting to. standardize all survey point summaries into the same format.
