/ \ ~ ^~•.
1
~s
~' rl'- C~y/~ Page 3
4) In order to better understandthe relationship of the
n individual monuments with the original survey and with each other,
/l additional columns were added. The levation difference column
represents the difference in the monument's elevation from the
original survey to the current survey. This will give the amount
of movement the monument appears to have had up to this time. The
"difference between monuments" column was added to show the
relative difference between adjacent monuments. During the course
of the surveys, there has been apparent elevation changes on points
which could not have been affected by subsidence. In order to help
differentiate survey errors from subsidence, this column was added.
If there is an apparent elevation change in the monuments during a
given survey yet the difference between the adjacent monuments
hasn't changed, a numerical survey error may have occurred. The
difference in this value over subsequent surveys indicates the
closeness of the surveys. I am attempting to. standardize all
survey point summaries into the same format. Those summaries which
have relevant characteristics will be modified in future
submittals.
p 5). ~ e~aset pa~ N ~ntrol,points are labeled on the revised
ma 17. ~ rIGYS ~
6). The !'A" point listed in the summary tables is a point
used in setting up the Zamora Canyon monuments not the "A" shown
adjacent to the 3rd North Railroad monuments.on Map 17. The Zamora
canyon "A" will be renamed "A "' for clarification.
7) The enclosed revised map 17 includes these points. ~
8).
