RE: 2001 Annual Reclamation Report, Bear No. 3 Mine, Permit No. C-81-033, Bear Coal Co.
Dear Mr. Bear:
The Division has reviewed the 2001 Annual Reclamation Report, submitted by the Bear Coal
Company and received at the Division on February 28, 2002. The Division has the following
questions and comments concerning the report.
The Division has a new Annual Reclamation Report form. Since the 2001 report
submittal needs to be revised, please complete this new form and include it in your
responses to the Division's adequacy review questions.
2. There are several inconsistencies in the submittal concerning the year in which the report
applies. Although the report is for 2001, the years 1999 and 2000 also appeaz in the
submittal. Please revise accordingly.
3. It is stated in Section 2.04.12(1)(b) of the report that the mine water treatment pond was
built in 2001. The Division's records show that the pond was built in 2000. Please revise.
4. Section 2.04.13(1)(e) of the report references an Exhibit A for the seed mix. However, no
Exhibit A was included in the submittal. Please provide this exhibit.
5. Please use the new Annual Reclamation Report form for future submittals. This and
several other Division forms are available on our website, at httn://mining siate.co.us.
