This review emphasizes an analysis of sampling frequency
for the 1988 water year. The water quality impact analysis provided by CYCC
appears to appropriately represent the trends exhibited by the water quality
data. Implications regarding increases in salt loading and offsite impacts
will be more closely examined upon receipt of the 1989 water year report.
The following section outlines monitoring deficiencies identified for 1988:
Bedrock We11s
1. All monitoring requirements were met.
Alluvial Wells
1. CYCC did not collect a full suite water quality sample for the
third quarter period at alluvial wells 006-AW-2 and 006-AZ-3. We
understand that the sites were frozen during April; however, this
did not preclude sampling during May or June. Please explain this
omission.
Spoil We11 s
Only one of the two required full suite samples was collected at
spoil well 026-SP-3. Please explain this omission.
Springs
1. Flow and field parameters were not recorded for Spring A2 during
April. Although it is appreciated that two measurements were made,
215 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203-2273 Tel. (303) 866-3567
