OapL. of Natural Resources <br />The following report concerns activities during 1983 <br />in the 110 Gravel Pits in Yuma County, Colorado. <br />During the 1983 year Yuma County worked out of the <br />SItFtND PIT moving toward the West, and worked out of <br />the MAY PIT toward the North, disturbing approximately <br />acre in each pit. Ulork continues in the GROVES PIT. <br />(to Southwest) <br />Yuma County reclaimed one pit in 1983- the STATE- <br />MULLINS PIT which was replanted with a variety of <br />grasses in June covering approximately 16~ acres. <br />There are plans to re-enter this pit in the future. <br />Yuma County is presently working out of the BRAND <br />and MAY PITS, with plans to move into the WILEY <br />ROCKCRUSHER PIT toward the North and the CLARE SMITH <br />PIT in a Southerly direction in the 1984 year. <br />If we can be of help to you, please contact this <br />office at 332-5796 or the Road Supervisor, Harold <br />Blazer at 332-5718. <br />Sincerely, <br />`'/~~NC~n~~~`~~2Cf~L'~ <br />Melanie Mears <br />Secretary to the Commissioners <br />
