Carol Ann Pit
MLR No. M-97-026 Tax I.D.it
Enclosed is the Annual Report for the past year for The Carol Ann Pit of B&B
Excavating, Inc., including map and report form. Past records show that the annual
date for the pit is September 8 of each year. The financial warranty for the permit is
$20,500 and the total permit area is 30.0 acres. The mining and reclamation plan is
phased.
The following information is provided to comply with Rule 2.4.1:
(1) No new disturbance occurred in the past year, therefore the total disturbed area, as
shown on the annual report map, is 12.4 acres. All salvageable topsoil has been
stockpiled along the berm on the south edge of the property as shown on the map and
as was required by the permit. A sediment collection sump, berms and silt fence were
also installed as shown on the map. Facilities which were present on the site have been
moved to another location but will return to resume mining.
(2) No reclamation could be done in the past year since mining has just begun. As
soon as the east area is completely mined, topsoil will be stripped from the west area
and replaced on the reclaimed east area. Mining will then resume on the west area.
