III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
Untetco Minerals Corporation
P.O. BOX 1029 GRAND JUNCTION. COLORADO 81502
S (9701 245-3700 ANNUAL REPORT
PERMIT M-77-286
MAYBELL MINE
MOFFAT COUNTY, COLORADO
Permit M-77-286 covers approximately 15 acres of a mine overburden stockpile
which has been used from time to time as a source of clean fill during reclamation of the
former mine and mill complex at Umetco's Maybell project site. There has been no
disturbance of the stockpiled material during the past 12 months; however, the need for
clean fill material at the site will continue into the future for an unforeseen period of time
until the mill site and heap leach reclamation is accepted by several regulatory agencies.
At this time, no new disturbances are anticipated during the coming permit year.
No reclamation has been performed on the disturbed area to date and none is
planned for the current year or until final closure of the borrow area. At that time, the
site will be re-contoured and seeded with the DMG approved seed mix. It is difficult to
estimate a time when intermittent borrow activity will cease, but site closure is still a few
years away.
Thomas E. Gieck, (luvc z`, 1999
UMETCO MINERALS CORPORATION
