The mine has complied with Rule 4.05.13, and are within their
permitted monitoring plan and Stipulation No.3 in parameters
monitored with the exception of the fourth quarter. Due to winter
snow conditions, the winter monitoring of the ground water wells
was not made this year. The winter quarter results were received
3/22/93 by the Division for sampling done on February 23, 1993 by
Resource Engineering Inc. The annual full suite analysis was in
the 3rd quarter, October of 1992. The winter quarter was for a
partial measurement of pH, temperature, EC and depth to water only.
All parameters measured and reported on 3/22/93 were within
expected range.
Ground water wells OW-31, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15 and loadout well LO-
1 were all sampled in 1992 according to Stipulation 3 requirements.
Ground water wells No.s OW-3L, 7, 12, 13 and 15 all remained dry
for the monitoring year.
OW-4L was replaced by OW-15 in March of 1992 per Minor Revision 10.
Comments
Ground water well, OW-14 was not measured for the C03 anion, nor it
seems at any time since 1986, although this is required per
Stipulation No.3 as a parameter to be annually sampled. Previous
reports indicate that this parameter has never been calculated.
