Box 483 <br />Paonia, CO 81428 <br />Permit No. C-96-083 <br />(b) The majority of the surface disturbance at the Bowie No. 2 Mine occurred during <br />]997. During 1998 an additional 2.6 acres were disturbed. The disturbance was <br />associated with the office parking area, material storage area and the gob pile. <br />(c) No land was backfilled during the year. <br />(d) Topsoil was salvaged and placed in topsoil stockpiles during the year. No areas were <br />backfilled or topsoiled during the year. <br />(e) Approximately 7.6 acres of cut and fill slopes and other disturbed areas were seeded <br />and mulched during 1998. The seed mix utilized was the soil stabilization mix listed <br />in the permit to be used for interim reclamation of topsoil stockpiles, cut slopes and <br />other disturbed surfaces associated with the mine construction.
