Any future dumping of mine waste would be a <br /> violation of Forest Service Regulations unless a Plan of <br /> Operations is approved under 36 CFR 228 Subpart A. <br /> 01 - DESCRIPTION OF ANY OTHER KNOWN, POTENTIAL OR ALLEGED HAZARDS <br /> The mine site contains numerous physical hazards 'including, <br /> oversteepered slopes, open portals, and unstable structures . <br /> III. TOTAL POPULATION POTENTIALLY AFFECT: [ -See specific mine assessment- ] <br /> The subject mines are located in rural southeastern Utah. Toms <br /> within a 50 mile proximity to the mines include Blanding, population 3100; <br /> Monticello, population 2000; La Sal, population <200; Old La Sal <br /> -� population <100; ; and Moab, population 5500. Approximately eight <br /> Colorado towns lie within 50 miles. The closest of these is Paradox, ;(ri <br /> population <200. The larger towns include Naturita, population 800; jyt} I <br /> Nucla, population 1000, and Uravan, population 1000 to 2500. Pr/x�'• <br /> Additionally, the Firefly-Pigmy which is located alongside a paved highway <br /> is likely to be seen and visited by people passing through the area.
