the Piceance Basin. For any groundwater present, the downgradient flow will be a vector
resolution between the northeast dip of the beds and the southeast plunge of the syncline,
toward the synclinal axis and thus down the axis to the southeast. Therefore, the most
appropriate location for groundwater points of compliance within the bedrock units of the
permit area will be in the southeast '/4 of Section 25, on the eastern boundary of the
permit azea. Most appropriate would be "upper," "middle," and "lower" wells as the
operator has done at most other locations.
The best location for groundwater points of compliance for alluvial groundwater would
be in the alluvium neaz the permit boundary in the vicinity of the raw water lagoon,
located near the White River. Qal-5 appears to be in a good location for apoint-of-
compliance well in the White River alluvium.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me.
cc: Sandy Brown
