RE: Annual Hydrology Report

Dear Mr. Kerr:
The purpose of this letter is to discuss the status of the annual hydrologic report.
Rule 4.05.13(4)(c) states,
A hydrologic report shaII be submitted to the Division annually with the date of
submittal determined in consukation with the permittee. The annual hydrologic report
shall comain at a minimum:
~) Water quantity data obtained from each monitoring site during the water year,
(ii) Water quality data obtained from each monitoring site during the 7Nater year,•
and
(iii) If required by the Division, a written interpretation of the data and
identification of mining related impacts to the hydrologic balance.
Although the data required by 4.05.13(4)(c)(i) and (ii) have been included in your quarterly
reports, our files do not indicate that we have received the annual reports. Please submit an
annual report for calendar year 1993, and a second annual report for calendar year 1994.
The Division requests that each of these reports reflect the requirements of 4.05.13(4)(c)(iii),
which requires "a written interpretation of the data and identification of mining-related
impacts to the hydrologic balance." Please submit these two annual hydrologic reports to the
Division by January 16, 1995.
As stated in 4.05.13(4)(c), the date for submittal of future annual reports to the Division
should be determined in consultation with the permittee. The Division suggests future annual
hydrologic reports be submitted within 30 days following the close of the fourth quarter.
