In 1995, the practice of double sampling the quarterly monitored wells
. • will be reviewed to determine the benefit derived from the practice. This
procedure was started on October 28, 1992 due to an OSM oversight
inspection and has been continued to date. It is the writers opinion that
sufficient data has been collected to determine the benefit of purging
three casing volumes verses non-purging. vvhue it is important to update
procedures and practices as technology improves, double sampling is
unnecessary if the correct procedure is used in the first place. Both
Coors Energy Company "CEC" and the Division will review the data and
determine the appropriate procedures to use for future monitoring before
the current procedure is discontinued.

In addition, CEC would prefer to sample Wells located on site. Currently,
two Wells (DH122 ~ DH96) are monitored on private property not own by
CEC. CEC intends to cooperate with the Division and comply with all rules
and regulations in order to meet this goal.
Laboratory reports from 1994 are presented in the following pages. Each
well was double sampled using the two procedures discussed above for the
entire year. When reviewing the report, parameter values denoted by the
"A" foilowing the wel! ~ns;c,nation refer to tFe five hailer volume purging
procedure. Parameter values denoted by the "B" following the well
designation refer to the three well volume purging procedure. All well
samples are consistent with past analysis.
In addition, the field data analysis follows the laboratory reports.
AHR-1994
-28-
STIPULATION #5
