<br />DIVISION 1 -GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />' SECTION 01700 -CONTRACT CLOSEOUT <br />1.01 CLOSEOUT PROCEDURES <br /> The following project closeout procedure defines the responsibilities of the Contractor, Owner and <br />' Engineer in closing the project: <br /> Step 1: Contractor advises the Engineer in writing that he has reached <br />"Substantial Completion" and provides a list of items to be completed or <br /> corrected. <br /> Closeout may be conducted by areas or portions of the work if requested by the Owner. <br /> Step 2: Engineer observes the work to determine if it is substantially complete, and issues a "Punch <br /> List" of items to be completed or corrected. <br /> Step 3: Contractor completes and/or corrects all punch list items and notifies the Engineer in writing <br /> [hat his work is ready for final inspection. <br /> Step 3: Engineer makes final examination.
