Executive Director <br />Denver, CO 80222 Ronald w. cattany <br />Division DlfeCtnr <br />RE: Annual Fees -February 2003 <br />Dear Mr. Ksouri: <br />The annual fee payments for several of the Department of Transportation's gravel pits were due in <br />February 2003. <br />To date, we have not received annual fee payments for the following pits: Greenland Assoc No. 2 <br />($281), North of Loma Pit ($281), West of Maybell Pit ($688), Myrin Pit ($281), Dotsero Cinder <br />Pit (281), N of Douglas Pass ($281), Independence Pass ($281), BLM Burnt Shale Pit ($281), <br />BLM Olathe Pit ($281) and BLM Pit N of Loma 2 ($688). <br />At this time, we would usually issue a Notice of Violation for non-payment of the annual fees. In <br />that instance, automatic civil penalties would be issued equal to the amount of the annual fees due, <br />bringing the total due to $7248. <br />If the annual fee payments for the above-referenced sites aze submitted by May 12, 3003, these <br />permits will be in compliance and no Notices of Violation or civil penalties will be issued. <br />However, if the annual fee payments aze not submitted by May 12, Notices of Violation and civil <br />penalties will be issued for all of these sites and they will be scheduled for hearings during the <br />Mined Land Reclamation Boazd's June 24-25 meeting for possible permit revocation and financial <br />warranty forfeiture. <br />If you have any questions, please cafl me at 303.866.3929. <br />Thank you in advance for your cooperation. <br />Since~rely,/' y~~~ <br />~GJ ~~C2 L:t,~CA.r~ <br />Glenda Williams <br />Office Manager <br />2003 NOVS CDOT fe603 late notices 4-l 1-03 <br />
