JUN 23 1993
80467
DIVISIDO of w~~~~~~.:,., u..~~..wyy
June 21, 1993
As part of the 1992 Annual Reclamation Report, we provided a
topsoil sample from the areas topsoiled that would be seeded. At
that time the Division voiced some concern about the type of sample
provided. Your office requested a sample based on plant available
N, P and K, rather than total N, P and K which was provided.
The mine staff resampled the area on 5/14/93 and requested the lab,
ACZ of Steamboat Springs, provide us with the same parameters on a
plant available basis. The results of this composite sample are
attached and should be added to the 1992 report. The average depth
on this set of samples was 15 inches.
Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact
me at the mine site.
Sincerely,
David Beverlin
Resident Engineer
enc.
