Site Monitoring and Reporting <br />Quarterly water sampling in accordance with TR-06 QA/QC, took place in January, April, .luly, <br />and October. Analysis reports were submitted to DMG upon receipt from the analytical lal,. <br />During 1997 the permit conditions were set on the new wells M-15, M-4R, M-11 R, and SF 1. <br />All of these wells are now sampled on a quarterly basis. <br />The 1992 NOV was abated. <br />Bi-weekly, in accordance with NOV abatement requirement No. 3, and weekly water sampling <br />and water level reading frequency continued throughout the year. Analysis reports have I peen <br />submitted to DMG upon receipt from the analytical lab. <br />Lysimeters have been checked quarterly throughout the year and have remained dry. <br />Sampling of the San Luis City Well and The Shalom Ranch well occurred in January and July <br />and results have been forwarded to the applicable parties. <br />The underdrain at the base of the tailings embankment was monitored monthly for rate of <br />seepage. The underdrain continually flowed at an average of 34 gpm. <br />Results from the humidity cell testing was reported as received from the lab. <br />Staff gauges were read daily from April -June and weekly during the other months. RS-4 and <br />RS-6 continue to be dry. The staff gauge at RS-5 was relocated to the approved site <br />downstream form it's former location. <br />The tailings embankment piezometers have been checked and monitored monthly. <br />The collection pond leakage detection system was sampled and pumped monthly for eight <br />months. The system was frozen in the months of December, January, Februar/and Marsh. The <br />average leakage rate was about 30 gpad. <br />As specified in the approved TR-010, weekly and monthly pond compliance reports have <br />been submitted to DMG. <br />
