<br />Most of the deer and elk were feeding or moving in mountain brush habitat. <br />Seneca II -Several groups of elk were observed within the Seneca II survey azea (Table 1). <br />Twenty-two elk were observed in two observations in section 35 in mountain brush habitat. It appeazed <br />that they had been feeding on the revegetation portions of the mine area. No deer observations were <br />made. Two eagles were observed perched on the sandstone ridge neaz the nest site in section 27. <br />Yoast -Several small groups of elk were observed within the survey azea. Many of these were in <br />the vicinity of the old mine azea of section 16. No deer or eagles were observed. <br />Seneca II -West -Several groups of elk were observed within the survey. The lazgest group of <br />approximately 31 animals was observed north of the existing mine along the ridge. They were moving <br />to the mountain brush areas for cover. It appeazed that they had been feeding on the steep slopes to the <br />east. Outer groups of elk were noted in section 29 and to the west of section 29. Several observations <br />of deer and eagles were noted. <br /> <br />• <br /> <br />
