-2-

Throughout the site examinations, the following parameters were exceeded
consistently, in order of frequency: Dissolved solids, Silver, Sulfide,
Sulfate, Dissolved Manganese, Iron, and Aluminum.
Seneca IIW Surface Water
It appears that each surface water site was monitored, and all parameters were
tested, except in cases of no-flow or light-flow. The only sites where this
occurred were S-1, 5-23, 5-45, 5-41, and S-5. Site SW-S2W-S67 appeared to
have been sampled only twice whereas the remainder showed three times. It
also appears that the detection limits for mercury were not met at any site.
Throughout the site examinations, the following parameters were exceeded
consistently in order of frequency: Total Dissolved Solids, Silver, Sulfate,
Dissolved Manganese, Aluminum, Total Iron, Total Manganese, Dissolved Iron.
This matches the Seneca II surface water analysis.
Please note that because of the vast quantity of data, expected exceedances
were checked thoroughly, but usually normal parameters were checked on a
random basis.
TK/yjb
4730E
