~.

Fish Creek site 1002 shows abnormally high TDS values in the
late summer, early fall time period. This would correlate to
abnormal discharge from the adjacent underground mine and is
not apparently related to C-81-071 mining activities.
Alluvial Wells
1. Wells 001-5-5, 009-5-10, and 008-AV-2 all show a continuing,
increasing trend in TDS since 1986.
Spoil Wells
1. 026-SP-2, 026-SP-3, and to a lesser degree 026-SP-1 all show
a continuing, increasing trend in Total Dissolved Solids.
Wadve Bedrock Wells
1. Wadge water levels in 026-79-4, 009-79-4, and 006-82-74C
appear to have recovered from adjacent surface mining and
approximate pre-mining levels. TDS in 006-82-74C is impacted
from spoil water migration from the upgradient area of this
well.
Summarv
Overall, impacts approaching material damage suspect levels are not
apparent to the current, prevailing hydrologic system. Salinity
levels in Foidel and Fish Creek continue to show elevated values
due to spoil spring discharges. Drawdown due to surface mining is
not apparent although higher salinity downgradient of surface
mining activities is noted. Due to limited use, no impact is
apparent.
PHC Revision
On November 25, 1994 the Division received revised pages for #C-81-
071 Probable Hydrologic Consequences Section. Apparently, these
pages are in response to a August 27, 1993 request (AHR file) by
the Division for CYCC to revise the PHC section for both #C-81-071
and #C-82-056. While the Division appreciates CYCC following up on
this request, we have to ask that this material be submitted in the
normal fashion which includes the proper application form and
appropriate public notice. Please submit the appropriate items so
the Division can call this application complete for the purposes of
filing. This information can be accepted as a technical revision.
If you have any questions, please call me.
i
Sin re
~n
K A. rham
Environmental Protection Specialist
