Mr. Randall P. Price
June 16, 1986
Page -2-
Drill Pads

Drill pads tI25 and Il27, which have previously been reclaimed, were dug up by
backhoe while we were trying to locate the old drill holes to determine if we
could use the holes to obtain samples of mine gases in the further reaches of
the mine. When we located the drill holes on the surface, it was determined
that they had been sealed and would not be of any use to us. Drill Hole 25 pad
is being used to drill a new hole for sampling purposes. CWI requests a minor
revision for this disturbance. After sampling of gases is no longer necessary,
the hole will be sealed as described in our permit document. This sealing
should cost approximately $1,000 and, due to the contingencies in the bond esti-
mate, does not require further bonds. The disturbed area will be reseeded after
sealing.
If you have any questions or comments concerning this matter please feel free to
contact me at 527-4135 or 527-2247.
Sincerely,
~~ ~ ~~
John H.
