This pit HAS NOT been granted a Temporary
Cessation and it HAS operated more than 180 days this year. The
Financial Warranty for this operation is $1,123,000.00, the
permitted area is 1,239.40 ac. and the pit is divided into 9
Reclamation Phases. An amendment was approved on August 25, 2004
allowing development of Longhorn Lake and a portion of Sharkeys
Lake as developed water storage.
Please refer to the annual report map attached for the
location of the areas discussed in this permit. We have chosen
to use an excerpt from the Mining Plan Map showing just the
disturbed area. The Plant site
and material storage area covers 25.00 acres t (orange
hatch}, We have approximately 85,000 yd3 of topsoil and
waste rock stored south of the excavated area (hatched tan).
The topsoil will be saved and used for reclamation. The
ponds cover approximately 14.0 ac ± (blue). Slurry wall
construction on the Sharkeys Lake area began after the bond
was posted and the amendment permit issued. The liner is
complete along the southern 1/3 and remaining 2/3 will be
completed this year.
(2) Grading, shaping and resoiling was completed in the High-
lands Lake area this spring as approved in the permit.
Seeding will take place this fall on the areas that will not
wL~
