Reclamation at the site I~roceeded <br />as described in the reclamation plan. The average rate of <br />production for 1991 was 29,344 tons per day on a 21 day I~er month <br />schedule. The 1991 year end work force was 531 employee:>. <br />RECLAMATION AREA ACTIVITIES <br />Reclamation of disturbances as they occur and efforts to <br />minimize disturbance by planning and reduction of unneces:~ary uses <br />continues to be the goal of the Henderson Mine and Mill. Treatment <br />in the following areas demonstrate adherence to this guideline. <br />AREA 9 <br />Approximately 44,000 cubic yards of organic material was <br />salvaged from the tailing basin and stockpiled for use during <br />reclamation. Stumps in the tailing basin have been removed in <br />preparation for continued soil stockpiling. <br />AREA 21 <br />The 50,000 yard soil stockpile just east of the tailing dam <br />was planted with 200, two to four foot tall Aspen transplants. <br />This project was undertaken to assess the potential success rates <br />attainable with Aspen transplants and to provide visual :screening <br />of our tailing pond from the county road. <br />
