(COLOWYO) PERMIT NO.: C-81-019 <br />RESPONSE TO CDMG JANUARY 28, 2002 LETTER REGARDING 2000 ANNUAL <br />RECLAMATION REPORT (ARR) <br />Dear Mr. Walker, <br />Colowyo appreciates this opportunity to address the seven discrepancies identified by the <br />CDMG in the calendar year 2000 ARR. <br />Item 1 Agree. 10.1 acres were backfilled, graded, topsoiled and seeded in the vicinity of the <br />West Pit. This information is accurately reflected Exhibit 9 of the report. <br />Item 2 Agree. 76.5 acres of new disturbance in the vicinity of the West Pit. This information is <br />accurately reflected in Exhibit 9 of the report. <br />Item 3 Agree 22.8 acres of new disturbance in the vicinity of the Section 16 pit has been added <br />to the 3.6 acres from the temporary topsoil 16E, for a total of 26.4 acres of <br />disturbance in the Section 16 area. <br />Item 4 Agree The temporary topsoil pile known as 16E has been added to the legend on <br />Exhibit 9. <br />Item 5 Agree The topsoil windrow associated with the southwest side of Section 16 has <br />been added to Exhibit 9 for the purpose of the 2000 ARR. Subsequently, this <br />windrow will only appear on the topsoil map, Map 28, as a long term (>1 year) <br />topsoil windrow. <br />Item 6 Agree The discussion developed under B Herbaceous Cover and Woody Plants in the <br />1995 and 1997 Reclaimed Areas on page 11 should read the "Herbaceous Cover <br />and Woody Plants in the 1996 and 1998 Reclaimed Areas". Likewise the first <br />sentence in this paragraph should refer to the "1996" and "1998" reclaimed areas <br />not the 1995 and 1997 areas. <br />Item 7 Agree A copy of the purchase requisition is attached along with a copy of the bid sheet. <br />The 2000 seed mix was purchased from Boyd E.
