Kaiser Ventures, Inc. is the <br />permiuee and Mr. Mike Keegan is the contact person. I-Iis address is P.O. Box 37, Desert Center, CA <br />92239. The permit. area is 187.5 acres of which 50 is Federal and 137.5 is private located <br />approximately 22 miles west of Pagosa Springs on Colorado State Highway 151, portions of Sections <br />29 and 30, T34N, R4W. Total dishrrbance at the nune site totals approximately 110 acres. All <br />disturbance areas have now been reclaimed. Various reclamation activities have been conducted over <br />the past 17 years on areas of the mine site as described in the permit document. <br />Limited reclamation activities were necessary during 2001 That included repair of a highway drainage <br />ditch to eliminate a gully that formed from runoff from the highway. Other activities that were <br />completed during the year included repair of the AVF imgation ditch system and repair of one <br />erosion gully on the north slope to the AVF area at the entrance gate. All repair included less than <br />one acre in area. A noxious weed control program was conducted in early August Application rates <br />and dates are included in the attached reports.
