~J
March 9, 1982
Annual Report For Years 1980 & 1982 - Church Pit
During the period March 1, 1980 thru February 28, 1981,
15,426 tons of clay were removed from the Church Pit.
During the period March 1, 1981 thru February 28, 1982,
12,892 tons of clay were removed from the Church Pit.
Due to the low water table during 1980 and 1981 Lakewood
Brick was able to remove enough clay from the bottom of exist-
ing Church Pit to satisfy their needs. This being the cir-
cumstance no new ground was opened. Since recovery of clay was
being accomplished it was neither economical nor prudent to
commence reclamation.
The operation in 1982 will be determined by several factors
such as; the weather, interest rates, the economy and inventory.
Therefore, it is difficult to anticipate the extent or magnitude
of operation of the Church Pit.
LAKEWOOD BRICK & TILE COMPANY
es R. Murray,
ice President
