Pitch Reclamation
Project Colorado Mined
Land Reclamation Board
2006 Annual Reclamation
Report
2.0 LAND DISTURBED IN 2006
Surface disturbance in 2006 was limited to work associated with the site
improvements in the constructed wetlands area (former site of the [Radium
Treatment Plantj RTP), and repair work (re-grading) to eliminate a low spot in the
cover material where water was ponding on the disposal cell located at the toe of the
Tie Camp Creek Low-Grade Ore Stockpile (Tie Camp Creek Disposal Cell). These
activities occurred on ground already disturbed by project related facilities. No new
land disturbance occurred at the Pitch Reclamation Project during 2006.
3.0 RECLAMATION ACTIVITIES IN 2006
During 2006, reclamation activities at the Pitch site focused on two primary areas: 1)
the constructed wetlands area (area in the vicinity of the dismantled RTP, including
the stream channel) and the adjacent slope located to the southeast of the drainage
channel, and 2) the Tie Camp Creek Disposal Cell. Noxious weed control (Canadian
Thistle) was performed intermittently during 2006 and will continue in future years.
All work was conducted in accordance with applicable conditions in the Radioactive
Materials License and the Pitch Reclamation Project Procedures Manual.

4
