~Tn
6. Well SC-3 is missing an April visit, a 4th quarter sample and
a SAR value for August.
7. Data inspection for H-10 and B-6 show no April visit, most
November sample values missing, no Molybdenum, no August SAR.
1994 Annual Hydroloav Report
1. Site H-1 is missing a flow value for April.
2. Why are the flow values for NF-1 and NF-2 identical but yet
the quality values very different? (Sept-Dec 94)
Summary
Overall, there appear to be no significant impacts to the surface
or groundwater systems due to mining at the Somerset mine. The
water quality samples from the two Rollins sandstone wells are
currently dominated by sodium-chloride which is highly unusual for
this aquifer in this area. It could be that these wells have been
vandalized and are no longer providing useful data to determine
mining impacts. These wells should be field inspected by Division
personnel to determine what action, if any, is appropriate.
The operator has completed the Spring and Seep Survey. This
baseline information should be included as part of the mining
permit document and definitive dates should be established to begin
monitoring each of these springs as the mining progresses.
