Lonq Divi.on Director The Division has reviewed New Elk Mine's 2000 Annual Reclamation Report. A summary of the report and requirements of the submittal in accordance with Rule 2.04.13(1) follows: u) Nnme a+d address ojpermiltee acrd pernri[ rnrn+ber. "Fhe perm itee and operator is, Picketwire Processing, LLC 4422 Bryan Station Road Lexington, KY 440516 Permit No. C-81-012 b) Location and number of acres disturbed during [hcrt year. The form the operator included with the New Elk Mine Annual Reclamation Report is unclear on the number of acres disturbed in 2000. The operator reports 145 acres disturbed, but 145 acres is the total of long term disturbalce of this mine. The New Elk Mine had been in Temporary Cessation status during 2000. The Division believes that the operator intended to report that no new acres were disturbed in 2000. c) Location cmd number ojncres buckfilled during [ha! Bear. Picketwire Processing, Inc. (PPI) reports that 1 I.5 acres were buckfilled and graded in 2000. This is the total backtilled and graded acres for the ell[ire site. The cover letter submitted with the Annual Reclamation Report states that "No reclamation activities were completed during 2000.
