The purpose of this report is to comply with the Mined Land Reclamation Act of 1976, Statute
34-32-1 12 of House Bill No. 1065. This report follows the requirements covering the "Notice
of Intent to Continue" for a limited impact operation.
The permit for the Silica Quarry located at Lyons, Colorado, was issued on June 4, 1978. The
reclamation and mining plan submitted September 1, 1977, states that 6.5 acres in the Northeast
/, of the Southwest %, Section 20, Township 3 North, Range 70 West of the 6'h Principle
Meridian had been affected. Currently 2.2 acres are used as a stockpile and crusher area. As of
this date, the total affected area is 6.5 acres. There will be no newly affected land in 2000, as
mining will take place in the area already affected.
