Minerals Company, LLC
____ Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine ___ _ `_ __ __ , _ _
2004 Annual Hydrologic Report
Permit C-84-065
Dear Mr. Stark:
Please accept this letter as the 2004 Annual Hydrologic Report for the Coal Ridge No. 1
Mine. This report is for the 2004 calendar year.
The Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine was reclaimed during 1994. Until the mine was reclaimed,
eightweils were monitored (LO-1, OW-3L, OW-7, OW-8, OW-12, OW-13, OW-14 & OW-
15). The groundwater monitoring wells were reclaimed late in 1994 and early in 1995. No
groundwater monitoring was pertormed or required during 2004 (reference table 4.6-1
page 4-85).
The monitoring program includes the requirements of Colorado Discharge Permit System
Industrial General Permit Facility Number COG-850005 (CDPS Permit). Copies of
Quarterly Discharge Monitoring Reports for the first three quarters have been provided,
under separate cover, to the DMG at the same schedule required by the CDPS Permit.
They are included in this report by reference. No further discharge monitoring reports are
required for CDPS Permit No. COG-850005 since it was given an inactive status effective
September 30, 2004.
There was no discharge from the sediment pond during the year. The Operator did not
irrigate the crop land portion of the reclaimed mine site during 2004.
Please call if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
J.
