William York-Feirn
December 2, 1994
Dowe Flats Mining and Reclamation Projec[
Pale 2 of 2
6. Revisexi section on general procedures/treatment ofcultural resources, including human
remains and process for reburial, as requested by the State Archaeologist
7. Revised section on American Indian consultations, including the results of the first
annual meeting of the Dowe Flats American Indian Advisory Council held on October 7
and 8, 1994, and reference to the 420 page ethnohistoric/ethnographic literature review
completed in October of 1994
8. Updated section on proposed curation agreements
Also, as a term of the Boulder County Special Use Permit, Southdown has agreed to revise
the: CRMP on an annual basis for Boulder County review, in the event that significant
developments take place with cultural resource management. Accordingly, I believe that it
is accurate to say that the CRMP will never be "final" during the life of the Dowe Flats
project; the applicant prepared the CRMP as a process document.
', The CRMP bibliography, at approximately 100 pages, will be delivered under separate
cover.
If you have any questions, please wntact me.
Sincerely,
~-~ ~' ~-~
Michael G.
