• recorded during the year for field conductivity, dissolved solids, bicarbonate and sulfate. New maximum values
+aere recorded for lab pH, carbonate and dissolved lead. Atwell 008-77-58 (Table ~), a new minimum value was
recorded for lab pH. At well 93M001 (Table 6), new minimum values were recorded for field conductivity, lab
pH, dissolved sodium, carbonate, and dissolved iron. At well 93M003 (Table 7), new maximum values were
recorded for conductivity, pH, SAR, hydroxide, and ortho-disc phosphate. The data is not indicative of
significant changes in [race metals concentrations.
Twentvmile Sandstone: During 1999, two Twenrymile Sandstone wells (006-BRDH-7 and 91M00~) required
monitoring for water levels and Feld parameters on asemi-annual basis, nvo wells, FBR-I I-B and FBR-2,
required monitoring for water levels, field parameters, and water quality parameters on asemi-annual basis. All
monitoring requirements were completed at these sites during 1999 with field measurements obtained and water
quality samples collected during April and September. Additionally, hvo new wells (97012TM and 97013TM)
were voluntarily monitored several times during 1999 in order [o establish baseline field measurement and water
quality data. Tables 8 tlvough 13 provide summaries of the 1999 Water Year data collected at each site. Figures
17 through 28 provide graphical representations of water levels and selected water quality parameters recorded at
each site.
The potentiometric surface in the Twen[ymile Sandstone as reFlected by these six wells is generally observed to
slope from southwest to northeast. Water levels during 1999 were observed as follows. Wells 006-BRDH-7
(Figure 17), 91M005 (Figure 19), FBR-II-B (Figure 21j, FBR-2 (Figure 23). 97012TM (Figure 25), and
97013TM (Figure 27) remained steady throughout the year with no mine impacts apparent. The lower water
levels typical in well 91M005 relative to well 006-82-d8A continued to remain apparent. Well 91M00~ was
established in 1993 to replace well 006-82-48A which w,7s mined through during 1993.
Field measurements are presented in Tables 8 and 9 for wells 006-BRDH-7 and 91M005. Field parameter
measurements on these Twentymile Sandstone wells monitored during 1999 returned values within anticipated
ranges with no mine related impacts evident. Field measurements and water qualiq~ parameters for wells FBR-
I l-B, FBR-2, 97012TM, and 97013TM are provided on Tables 10 through 13. At +vell FBR-I I-B (Table 10), a
new minimum values was recorded for dissolved sodium and a new maximum value was recorded for field
conductivity. At well FBR-2 (Table 1 I), new minimum values were recorded for lab conductivity, alkalinity,
hardness, dissolved sodium, bicarbonate, and ortho-diss phosphate; a new maximum value was recorded for field
conductivity.
Trout Creek Sandstone: During 1999, four Trout Creek Sandstone wells (001-83-106, 001-83-107, FCM#2,
amnd FBR-2-E) required monitoring for water levels and field parameters on asemi-annual basis, acid one well
(008-75-EFC) required an annual water level measurement. Wells 001-83-106, FCM#2, and FBR-2-E also
required water quality sampling on asemi-annual basis. Well FCM#2 was replaced in the fall of 199 by
monitoring well 9~M001. Semi-annual monitoring during 1999 occurred at well 9~M001 in lieu of FCM#'_.
Additionally, two new wells (97012TC and 97013TC) wire volumarily monitored several times Burin, 1999 in
• order to establish baseline field measurement and w-ater quality data. Tables 14 tlvough 20 provide summaries of
the 1999 Water Year data collected at each site. Table lAa provides the period of record statistical summary of
-3
