III. MONITORING WELLS
The table below summarizes well designation, top of casing
elevation and aquifer monitored during 1990.
WELL ELEV. AQUIFER LOCATION
FPW 4780 Ennis Draw Mine
DH96 4764 Ennis Draw Downstream from Mine
DH122 4814 Ennis Draw Upstr-am from Mine
SMW-2 4803 Reclaimed Spoil Mine
AMW-1 4804 Undisturbed Mine-Downstream/Ash
Overburden
AMW-2 4811 Reclaimed Spoil Mine-Downstream/Ash
Dry at Bottom of Ash
Elevation
IV. ANALYSIS OF FIELD DATA
A. Water Levels.
Figures 1 through 5 in the Appendix show water levels measured for
years 1986 thru 1990. The 2/3/89 piezometric map has been
included in the Appendix. Water levels were checked in other wells
including DH 133, DII 137, DH 162, DH 172, SMW-1, DH 97
and DH 116. The only significant change noted was a five foot
rise in water level at SMW-1 . This would increase the water
level in this hole to 4737 elevation, not enough to effect anything
on the map except to bring the 4740 water level elevation contour
closer to SMW-I .
Caps on wellheads were improved after the Federal inspector found a
number of caps rubbed off by grazing cattle. No more open wells
have been found since the upgrading.
B. pH.
Please refer to Figures 6 through 10 in the Appendix which show
field pH values for 1986 thru 1990.
C. Specific Conductance.
Figures 11 thru 15 in the Appendix show conductance field values
collected from 1986 thru 1990.
V. WATER QUALITY ANALYSIS
Laboratory reports regarding the analysis of the water obtained at
the same time as the field testing is in the Appendix following the
field test results.
Page 8
