VIII . ASH DISPOSAL <br /> During 1990, a total of 32,451 tons of mixed fly and bottom ash was <br /> dumped in A Pit (east end) . All of this ash came from Coors' Power <br /> Plant in Golden and was 80% Colowyo, 10% MacIntyre stockpile, and <br /> 10% Keenesburg stockpile coal. A sample of fly ash and a sample of <br /> bottom ash has been taken at the power plant and analysed by <br /> Saturated Paste Extract and by Toxicity Characteristic Leaching <br /> Procedure (TCLP) and is included on the following pages. From <br /> the mass balance cross sections, it appears that there is room in A <br /> Pit for five more years of Coors' ash. <br /> IX. SOIL SAMPLE <br /> No topsoil was replaced during 1990, therefore, the sample normally <br /> submitted has not been taken. <br /> Page 11 <br />
