Rerr inspects aII
s=_dimentation ponds on a quarterly basis. Inspections include
evaluat_cn of accumulated sediment levels relative to design
sedime^.t storage capacity to verify that design stormwater storage
capacity is maintained at all times. If inspections indicate that
sediment accumulat'_ons are at or near the design sediment level,
iterr removes acc•.tmulated sediment from the pond(s) within a
easonable peric3 (typically 30 to 60 days) following the
inspection. Both pond inspection reports and documentation of pond
c_ean-out are retained at the minesite and are available for
inspection by authorized agency representatives. Based on direct
cbservation of pond storage levels at the time discharge occurred,
t^e discharge resulted from:
Rainfall or snowmelt runoff volumes less than or equal
to the design 10 year, 24 hour storage volume .
[j Rainfa:'_ or snowmelt runoff volumes greater than the
design .0 year, 24 hour storage volume
