ANNUAL REPORT
Operator:
Operation:
File Number:
Anniversary Date:
United Companies of Mesa County
Pit # 3
M-1977-022
Mazch 28, 2005
Pit # 3 was active only for stockpiling of aggregates hauled in from another location.
Most of the material hauled in is used for ready mix concrete. There is also a smaller
stockpile of roadbase that is sold as the demand calls for.
We have a Technical Revision pending at this time for a change in reclamation for most
of stage one and all of stage two. United Companies has donated approx. 19.76 acres of
this pit to the North Fork River Improvement Association. NFRIA plans to construct a
water park on the river portion of stages one and two. The plans have not been turned
into the DMG yet as the final construction plans are not 100% complete yet. The plans
should be available in the next 60 days. Stage three has been graded and revegetated.
United Companies will keep the current reclamation bond in place until the river park is
complete to insure reclamation will be done according to the existing plan should the
river park not be built.
Sincerely,
Ju~`b l1J , ~-~~>
Brent W. Ken
Resource Manager
