Long
Division Director
RE: Semi-Annual Subsidence Report, Jan.- June 1994, Foidel Creek
Mine, #C-82-056
Dear Mr. Mills:
The Division has completed review of TCC's responses dated November
2, 1994 to the Division's questions of September 6, 1994 concerning
the above-mentioned report for the Foidel Creek mine.
We have no further questions at this time. Vegetation data will be
forwarded to a specialist for review in conjunction with PR-03
review. Any remaining questions will be handled through a field
check. However, we have the following comments:
It appears that subsidence along Fish Creek AVF has progressed
approximately as predicted by TCC. However, TCC states that the
water level in GWA-7 appears to reflect the fact that the well has
been subsided. If the measuring point is the top of the casing,
the water depth should be the same or in fact, less, than prior to
subsidence. GWA-7 water level appears to be suppressed due to
subsidence. However, no significant loss of flow could be detected
at this time in the surface system or alluvial system.
Please continue to conduct monitoring precisely as required by your
approved permit.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
Sin ~y/,~~
Ke t A.
