OCT ' E2 i
Division of Minerals and Geology;
PERDUE QUARRY
M-2000-089
ANNUAL REPORT
October 4, 2001
Most of the trees have been removed from the entire quarry site, and
approximately 3' of overburden has been removed. Quarry operations have begun in
each of the corners of the site, with a greater concentration and corresponding deepest
decrease in elevation occurring in the NE corner, approximately 20'. (see attached Map).
Quarry operations have caused a decrease in elevation of approximately between 5 — 10'
in the three other corners. Each comer is approximately 200' square with a 200' spacing
between each corner.
The soil stockpile is situated between the corners, in the center of the site. At this
time, it is premature to commence reclamation operations, and none have been
commenced. Quarry operations have slowed recently, therefore, it is not anticipated that
reclamation procedures will begin in the upcoming year as well, however, reclamation
procedures will commence as needed.
It is anticipated that quarry operations will proceed along each corner with a
heavier concentration in the NE comer, because that section contains the highest quality
stone.
