Only the quarterly
NPDES reports are on file, however all data should be submitted. This
hydrologic reporting requirement was inadvertently overlooked during the
review process.
Several coal operators in the state submit an annual hydrology report
including a years worth of surface and ground water monitoring. The
timing of submittal is at the discretion of the operator, but many
submit following the USGS water year; October 1 to September 30.
Seneca II's approved hydrologic monitoring program is presented on
pages 7-140-I43 of the permit application. The data collected from
the program should be submitted to the Division annually and include
the quarterly NPDES reports. The annual report should present the
years data, provide an analysis of the monitoring data and discuss any
impacts on the hydrologic system as a result of mining.
The Division caould be happy to discuss this with you if you have any
questions. Feel free to call me.
Sincerely,

Sandra L. Emrich
Reclamation Specialist
SLE/eap
