.~
ANNUAL REPORT
Operator: United Companies of Mesa County
Location: Railhead Pit
File Number: M-1995-036
Anniversary Date: October 19, 2007
Railhead continues to be active serving as a site for waste asphalt and concrete rubble
stockpiles. Some pit run material removed from a river dike removal is also stockpiled
on Railhead ground. The asphalt and concrete will eventually be crushed. Most of the
asphalt will be recycled through the hot plant. The concrete is crushed into a reusable
concrete base course material. United is considering additional uses for Railhead -
possibly a site for liquid asphalt, bulk cement, bulk fuel storage in conjunction with a
railcaz siding and unloading facility. This adventure is in the thinking stage at this time.
Weeds are sprayed a minimum of twice a year - might be more frequent in the future.
Weed manage is satisfactory here. Tamarisk is treated and is on its way out.
Report map is unchanged from last year as stockpiles are in nearly the same locations,
although sizes are different.
Sincerely,

Brent W. Kerr
Resource Manager
