' SPRING MOHITORING
' One spring related to underground mining activities is monitored, station 20-14 (6862014). The
associated water quality data is presented in Table 48. The spring issues from the Twentymile
' Sandstone. Its flow is very small (Figure 33). There was no flow in 1990 at Spring 20-14.
The conductivity has increased with decreasing flow rate (Figure 40) in the past. The
' conductivity levels are within the levels normally recorded in the Twentymile Sandstone.
' Spoil Springs
' One spoil spring system is monitored. It dischazges from bond released spoils into Pond E. The
spring system consists of three small seeps (303-1, 303-2 and 303-3) which coalesce at
' monitoring point FCT-87-1. Most of the samples collected have been from 303-1. The water
data for the springs is presented on Tables 49 to S 1. Due to the small quantity of discharge
' (peak of approximately 0.02 cfs), there is no detected impact on the water quality in Fish Creek.

1

1

-9-
